David Weissman, a 15 year ecommerce veteran, was recently named President of Dermstore, a Target Company based in Los Angeles.  David will oversee all aspects of the beauty pure-play’s business and be a strategic partner to Target’s beauty leadership and digital strategy team.
 
Prior to joining Dermstore, David was EVP eCommerce & Omnichannel for BCBGMaxAzria, overseeing all aspects of their direct-to-consumer channels.  As part of his tenure, David authored a robust 6pt plan to drive step growth and integration between their online and offline experiences
 
In 2011, David was President and Co-Founder of Little Black Bag, a unique social commerce business inspired by Japan’s Fukubukuro sales.  In his role, he oversaw operations, merchandising, business development, legal, and human resources.
 
From 2001-2011, David was Vice President of Client Services & Strategy for GSI Ecommerce (acquired by eBay).  In this role, he oversaw dozens of strategic accounts managing a $300M merchandise sales business for clients such as Adidas, Quiksilver, Petsmart, Ralph Lauren, Zales, Radio Shack, Sports Authority, Burberry, Levis.  David was instrumental in helping each of these brands launch and optimize their ecommerce businesses assisting in disciplines such as demand generation, digital marketing, multichannel integration, and operation optimization.
 
David began his ecommerce career from 1999-2001 where he was Director/VP of eCommerce for WHN, a start up ecommerce services firm helping clients such as ABC, NBC, Playboy, and the Salt Lake City Olympics build direct to consumer ecommerce businesses.

David is the Xinmei Zhang and Yongge Dai Professor at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an expert in consumer shopping behavior. His current research explains how we use the Internet to search and shop, and why this depends to a large extent on where we live, and on our physical world circumstances. David’s research on traditional retailing explains unplanned purchasing and impulse buying, how consumers select stores, why shoppers form reference points for price and promotion activities, and the effect of structural factors (e.g., dwelling size) on consumer shopping strategies.

David is an award-winning teacher and developed Wharton’s first course on Digital Marketing and Electronic Commerce and teaches it at both the Wharton | Philadelphia and Wharton | San Francisco campuses. He is the Academic Director for Wharton’s Advanced Management Program and along with Wharton colleagues Barbara Kahn and Pete Fader teaches the course An Introduction to Marketing via Coursera.org to over 100,000 students worldwide. With Barbara Kahn, he co-hosts a radio show on Retailing Issues on Sirius XM.
David also serves as an expert witness in intellectual property matters pertaining to choice behavior and market demand. Some recent representative cases include Sky Technologies LLP v. SAP, Individual Network LLC v. Apple Inc., and Two-Way Media LLC v. America Online, Inc. (on behalf of the plaintiff; retained by Susman Godfrey) and Power Management Solutions LLC v. Intel Corporation (on behalf of the defendant; retained by WilmerHale).

Jamil Ghani serves as Vice President, Enterprise Strategy, for Target Corporation.  He is responsible for defining and accelerating the strategic direction for the company, with a particular focus on Target's transformation to deliver the Expect More, Pay Less brand promise seamlessly across all channels for today's omnichannel guest.  He leads teams responsible for business strategy, strategic planning and execution, innovation, program management, and organizational change management.

Brian previously served as Director of Sales at Tealium, helping grow the company into the market leader for enterprise tag management. After that he assisted in the global launch of AudienceStream, the first real-time segmentation and action engine designed for marketers. Prior to Tealium, Brian provided his leadership skills across companies such as Anametrix (now Ensighten), Visual Sciences, Keylime Software (now Yahoo!) and served as one of the earliest and most successful sales executives and managers at WebSideStory, contributing to its highly successful IPO in 2004 and its eventual acquisition by Omniture for $394 million in 2008 and Adobe in follow for $1.8 billion in 2009. He is passionate about building high revenue growth organizations and the excellent teams that power them. In his spare time, Brian is also an advisor to start-up companies such as Industry, Inc., the exclusive professional network for the service and hospitality industry.

Kevin has served as the Category Director for HP Shopping since March 2014. 

Past Accomplishments

Kevin has an extensive history of merchandising leadership roles at the largest retail companies in the US.  He started his career at Target as an area store manager and was promoted to the buying office where he gained a broad range of experience in retail buying, planning, distribution, and trend merchandising. Kevin joined Best Buy as the Director of Merchandising for Notebook Computing, guiding the category through its most expansive period of growth from 1999-2004.  He then spent 2 years in Shanghai on assignment to assist with the development of Best Buy’s private brand sourcing strategy.  Kevin returned to the US to take over as the Senior Director of Merchandising for televisions, again during the categories most explosive growth period from 2005-2007.  Kevin was then promoted to Vice President of Merchandising for Digital Imaging.  In 2008 Kevin was asked to lead a startup group to pioneer Best Buy’s Secondary Market capability.  He led two successful acquisitions, and during this time oversaw the development of 4 websites, and led the introduction of Trade In as new capability.  Kevin joined Dick’s Sporting Goods in 2012 as the Vice President of Merchandising for several of the company’s largest categories.  After a two year absence from Consumer Electronics Kevin decided to follow his true passion and join forces with the world’s largest and best technology company and is excited about the prospect of being a part of a team that will make HP Shopping the premier computing destination for consumers online.
