Having joined HP in August 2013, Malte is responsible for Hewlett Packard's direct sales to consumers and small businesses via the eCommerce platform HP.com in North America, for the Printing & Personal Systems Group.

Previously, Malte served as President at Zipcar Inc, running the European business of the world's leading car sharing network. During his tenure from early 2012 to mid 2013, Malte oversaw the business in the UK, and took Zipcar into Spain and Austria. Following the acquisition of Zipcar by Avis Budget Group, Malte left Zipcar and relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area with his family.

Prior to joining Zipcar, Malte held various roles at eBay Inc spanning nearly 12 years. As managing director of eBay’s PayPal Australia business, between 2009 and 2011, he grew PayPal’s business on the fifths continent aggressively, achieving a clear leadership position for online payments with more than five million active customers.

Prior to PayPal Australia, Malte served as managing director of eBay Germany, where he led the evolution of the consumer-to-consumer auction platform to a broad eCommerce marketplace. Among other European roles, Malte also established and led the PayPal business in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, as managing director, achieving leadership positions in all three markets
