Bobby Lyons

Bob Lyons is a seasoned technology/marketing executive with over 23 years of experience working in the technology field and 19 years of experience working with web-based businesses, focusing in the areas of technology and online marketing. Bob began his technology career in the armed forces working on the automation of supply chain management systems and managing research and development projects utilizing cutting-edge technologies. In the year 2000 Bob began working with SALU, Inc. a company that provided websites and applications for physicians. 

As the Director of Technology, Bob was responsible for over 22,000 websites and the development of mobile prescription applications for use in hospitals and private practices. In addition, Bob ran the daily operations for Dermdex.com a business-to-business spa products and services company. After the successful sale of Dermdex.com to Universal Companies, Bob was promoted to Chief Technology Officer.

In the role of Chief Technology Officer for SALU, Bob managed graphics design, engineering, IT infrastructure, and search engine optimization. SALU was acquired by Drugstore.com. As part of Bob’s role he was responsible for launching websites in England, Korea, Australia, and China as well as training onsite personnel in marketing and technology best practices. 

In 2011 Walgreen Co. acquired Drugstore.com. A new position was created in the Walgreen’s organization for Bob whereby he was asked to reorganize the search engine optimization team and revamp the strategy for Walgreens.com, Beauty.com, Drugstore as the Director of Online Marketing. In addition to the search engine optimization responsibilities, Bob is a member of the Domain Strategy team responsible for strategic domain acquisitions. 

Throughout Bob’s career he has consulted for numerous companies to include startup and mid-sized businesses along with assisting with due diligence activities for venture capital firms in the areas of technology and marketing.
